Pittsburgh to Bloomington, Day 1

I just kind of went through my contact list, not sure I got everyone, but here it is. If you'd rather not get the spam, let me know and I'll stop. Or if you talk to someone who isn't getting it and wants to, please tell me so I can add them.

DAY 1!!!

After a refreshing coffee and breakfast with Jess and Meredith, I found more room in my car for the last few things I wanted to take with me. I think the car is now at full capacity, and I can't open a couple windows without things falling out. Left Pittsburgh (going the wrong way on 279 for a few miles first, an excellent start) a lot later than I wanted, but it ended up working out okay with Drew's schedule.

Ohio actually did me a turn for the good, perhaps as a goodbye present. I really wanted to find one last Sheetz before I left the area, and had just about given up and was headed for a Subway. I decided I could do better, and kept going on whatever road I was on, turned the corner, and there it was! I was so relieved that I even paid for the sunglasses. That's right, paid for em. Money and everything.

Other than that, the drive was pretty uneventful. I have an awesome set up with the power cord on my computer going to the outlet in the trunk of the car, and an fm transmitter set up in the dash. That's right.. 103.7 Fraggle FM!!

Drew's house is nice... He has a pink bathroom... and a yard... and a winery... which I shall sample tomorrow.

Bad Joke of the Day, made up on the road:

My gas stop was at a TA near Dayton. I bought some soy milk with a little plastic lid on it, not even a screw on. A rent-a-cop made fun of me for it. I opened it, but it wasn't mixed well, so I put the cheap lid back on and shook it. Unfortunately, the lid popped off and the drink got all over the cop. I looked at him and said, "I guess my milk shaking got all the soys on the guard!"

(Note: only the first sentence of that was true)
